My fascination/obsession with horticulture started with one lowly succulent plant I purchased at a local garden club's annual plant sale. I had always kept a couple houseplants, but never really gave them much thought, aside from their weekly watering’s. This plant gave me a different feeling, though. It was delicate, but had a hardy edge at the same time, BUT the added plus was how easy it was to care for. That really peeked my interest. Some years have gone by, and that one plant kick started a real calling.
Before The Artful Aloe I had a variety of jobs, including working at an environmental conservation organization and long…before that, I had dreams of a career in design, and studied fashion design in college. I feel that my varied background adds a positive influence to what The Artful Aloe has to offer. Thanks for taking a moment to read this, and go have some fun with plants.
